City of Busselton Updates

• Temporary Car Park Closure and Playground Installation Works - Mitchell Park: New playground equipment will be installed at Mitchell Park beginning on March 12, 2025.

• Busselton Jetty train renaming: The Busselton Jetty train will be renamed as part of a partnership with Rio Tinto.

• Metricup-Yelverton Road sealing petition: The City of Busselton council accepted a petition calling for the sealing of Metricup-Yelverton Road.

• WA State Election: The WA State election will be held on March 8th, 2025. This election will have significant implications for government policies and initiatives in the region.

• Prohibited Burning Times extended: Prohibited burning times are extended to midnight Friday, March 14, 2025, to mitigate bushfire risk.

• Dunsborough Town Centre Redevelopment: Community feedback is being sought on the Dunsborough Town Centre Redevelopment project.

• Applications Open for Winter Sporting Season: Applications are open for community sporting clubs requiring the use of City reserves and hard courts during the 2025 Winter Season (1 April 2025 – 30 September 2025).

• Busselton Margaret River Airport Noise Management Plan Review: The City of Busselton has completed a review of the Busselton Margaret River Airport Noise Management Plan (2022) and proposes amendments to be submitted to the Office of the Environmental Protection Authority for approval.
