Volunteer Organisation Recognition Busselton Hospice Care, a local palliative care and bereavement support organisation, was recognised for its volunteer efforts, being named a finalist in the 2025 WA Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Restricted Burning Period Extended The Restricted Burning Period was extended due to conditions. Burning is prohibited without a permit during this time.
Consultation Closes: Short-Term Rental Policy The public consultation period for the readvertised draft Local Planning Policy 4.1 concerning Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation concluded.
Road Closures for Busselton Festival of Triathlon Setup Road closures begin for the setup of the major annual sporting event. Limited vehicular access to Port Geographe Marina is via Layman Rd.
Ongoing Health Alert: Measles Exposure Sites A public health alert remained active and was updated, advising of potential measles exposure at specific locations in Busselton during March and April. Non-immune individuals present at those sites during specified times are advised to monitor for symptoms.
Ongoing Planning Issue: Dunsborough Building Height Limits The Minister for Planning has made a decision on new height limits for Dunsborough Town Centre: some areas are now limited to 4 or 5 storeys, not 3 storeys, as sought by the City of Busselton.
Ongoing Consultation: Quindalup Hotel/Cafe Development The public comment period is open for a Development Application requiring determination by the Regional Development Assessment Panel (DAP). The application is for a Hotel and Restaurant/Cafe.
