  • Restricted Burning Period Extended The Restricted Burning Period for the entire City of Busselton was extended, concluding at midnight on Wednesday, May 14. This measure was taken due to fire risk and was subject to change. Read more

  • Important Changes to Waste Facilities Changes to operating hours and requirements for disposing of certain household items for the 2025/2026 financial year were announced for the Busselton Waste Transfer and Recycling Centre and the Dunsborough Waste Facility.

  • Imposition of Fees and Charges The City of Busselton announced its intention to impose the adopted Schedule of Fees and Charges for the 2025/26 financial year. This step was planned to occur prior to the formal adoption of the annual budget.

  • Closure at Dunsborough Lakes Sporting Precinct The Dunsborough Lakes Sporting Precinct remained closed for the installation of stadium lighting. Works were extended, and the precinct was scheduled to reopen after May 16.

  • Road Works - Bussell Highway Significant road works on Bussell Highway within Busselton, between Travellers Well Street and Macintyre Street, continued. The project involves road widening, resurfacing, and upgrades to cycleways and footpaths, with completion expected by June.

  • Dunsborough Boat Ramp Works Completed Maintenance works at the Dunsborough Boat Ramp were finished, and the ramp reopened to the public on May 9.

  • Raymond Road Interchange Closure (Wilman Wadandi Highway) A temporary 24/7 closure of the northbound off-ramp from the Wilman Wadandi Highway onto Raymond Road was in effect from May 8 to May 16. A detour was put in place via South Western Highway and Raymond Road.
