Busselton

  • A new butcher has opened at Origins Market in Busselton, adding to the town's growing culinary scene and the increasing popularity of farmers' markets and local produce.

  • The BCP Group was awarded a sediment removal tender, highlighting the community's commitment to maintaining the environmental health of the region.

  • Rural South West communities will have easier internet access thanks to newly announced communication towers, potentially leading to economic growth and an improved quality of life.

City of Busselton Updates

  • Short-Term Rental Accommodation Regulations: The City of Busselton is seeking public input on proposed changes to the regulations for short-term rental accommodation.

  • Supporting Students in Need: The City of Busselton is partnering with Give Write to launch a stationery donation program.

  • Dunsborough Foreshore Café Project: The City of Busselton is moving forward with the Dunsborough Foreshore Café project, an initiative that aims to enhance the Dunsborough foreshore by providing new amenities and recreational opportunities. The proposed development includes a café, new public amenities, expanded green open space, and improved pathways.

  • Vasse to Dunsborough Road Link Planning: Planning is underway for a future road corridor between Vasse and Dunsborough to improve traffic flow and connectivity in the South West region. This initiative, known as the Vasse to Dunsborough Link, will address traffic pressures on Caves Road and provide a better level of service for residents and visitors.

  • Coastal Dune Resilience Project: Maintenance work will be carried out on the coastal stretch from King Street to Margaret Street.

  • New Water Pipeline Installation: Busselton Water will install a new water pipeline along Caves Road from Mitchell Street to Marybrook Road, Marybrook, starting 3 February 2025.

  • Applications Open for Winter Sporting Season: Applications are open for community sporting clubs requiring the use of City reserves and hard courts during the 2025 Winter Season (1 April 2025 – 30 September 2025).

  • Improved Mobile Coverage on Local Beaches: Six beaches in the Augusta-Margaret River region will benefit from improved mobile coverage.
